Starting a business can be rewarding and invigorating, but it can also be risky and challenging. However, the good news is that many new starts do survive and those that seek support have an even better chance of success.
Start-up and existing small land-based businesses in Powys looking to diversify and generate a new income stream can get free expert advice under a newly-launched scheme. Agora is a two-year project to help producers of goods grown, grazed or made across 11 local authority areas in mid and south-east Wales.

Powys County Council’s Regeneration Team is currently delivering the “Communities 4 Work+” project aimed at getting people into work and improving their employability prospects. Mentors working across Powys are providing 1-1 support to anyone over the age of 16.
